Monitoring System Administrator

- As an engineer in Operations Department, you will be responsible for the maintenance and improvement of complete Monitoring system for advanced Mobile Core Networks (2G/3G/LTE).

- You will be responsible to define, setup and maintain monitoring architecture based on Nagios platform. You will be expected to be autonomous and self-driven in order to proactively fulfill your responsibilities. You will work collaboratively with other teams across the globe, the normal communication language being English.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Maintenance of monitoring and alarm system for Mobile Core Network platforms (2G/3G/LTE) based on Nagios solution. 

- Analyze new service/platform specifications and implement reliable alarms and KPI indicators. 

- Collaborate with NOC Team for the evolution and correct surveillance of system and services.

- Provide support to operational teams on the development of scripting and IT automating procedures.  

- Analyze customer requirements and advice on technical issues related to design and deployment.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years experience, especially as System Administrator. 



Compulsory skills

- Holding BSc degree in Computer Science/IT/ Telecommunication is a must requirement.

- Advanced Knowledge in NMS, mainly Nagios. 

- Advanced Knowledgeable of Linux and scripting languages (Perl, Python, Bash.).

- Basic knowledgeable in SQL and in operating relational databases - MySQL, Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server.

- Basic Knowledge in Web-Programming Languages (Django,PHP)

- Knowledge of IP networks and routers, specially Cisco.

- Fluent in English (written and spoken)

- Adaptability and responding to change. Be able to work under pressure.

- Ready to work on morning/afternoon shifts. 



Additional and valued skills

- Knowledgeable of GSM/UMTS/LTE networks.

- Knowledge of VMware and clusters.  

- Capability to program in other language like C/C++ or Java.
